I just got married this March and registered for Fiestaware for the wedding. We ordered the 5-piece dinnerware set in Lemongrass (because I love the teacups) and since then I've been hooked. I JUST ordered the marigold bowls and oval platter from Dillards.com--all for $70 (before shipping) and it came up to $85 with s/h. can't wait to get them!

p.s. I just stumbled upon this blog and I love it. keep up the good posts!

The Marigold Fiestaware bowls will be retired on September 1 2009. The 2nd 75th Anniversary item in Marigold was released on April 1st 2009. It is a 19 inch serving platter. It will retire on September 1st 2010. The 3rd 75th Anniversary item in Marigold according to my very well connected sources will be a soup tureen with ladle. Also of note if you like the baking bowls, HLC announced at the Fiesta Collectors convention last month that 3 more nesting bowls are going to be produced to fit inside the existing ones. Also, it looks like HLC is going to release a jam pot that looks like a mini-canister with a lid with a finial. I saw one in scarlet and it looked interesting.
P.S. Williams Sonoma had a blow out on the Marigold Baking Bowls and sold them for $29.99 a set last month. I bought 2 sets as gifts, and another for myself because it was too good to pass up.

Some of the Fiesta Ware I have is 50 years old or older. I have a few from the 30s as well. I use a large chop plate to take cakes to parties and its older than my mother. So, Fiesta lasts a long, long time as long as you don't break it :) I guess its a "buy once, buy good" situation.
