pepper.jpgThe Superbowl will be taken over this year, not by a really ill conceived half time show (“Up With People” was the entertainment for way too Many SuperBowls, but Prince two years ago rocked.) Rather, a new star will emerge in Pepper the Parrot, as he brings his unique song stylings to the open festivities of Puppy Bowl.

Of course, will discuss some SuperBowl snacks here on the Snack Hound, but we will be watching the SuperBowl commercials and then flipping over to Animal Planet to watch Puppy Bowl. It speaks more to the demographic of the household, and is number one in its time slot for canines between 5-10 years of age. Any older, and they just want to sit wherever their human is, and any younger, they may be too distracted to watch the action.

So, in the next few days, we will be presenting Puppy Bowl snacks if you are hosting a party that encompasses all of your family members, and fans of Pepper the Parrot.

On another note, there are 40 puppies need some help.    They are too freaking adorable for words.  See?. There is a Puppy Bowl themed fundraiser with Saving Shelter Pets to give those kids the start they deserve to get a chance at being “drafted” into a wonderful, permanent home. Go take a look and help out if you can.

Puppy Bowl sounds such fun – I’m not a big SuperBowl fan but I do love watching the half time and the commercials!

Oh, and the last 10 minutes of the game of course :)

The puppies are very cute- I’m not sure how people can “dump” puppies or any animals. I volunteer at a local shelter and it happens every week. Having an animal requires responsibility-
